The question is becoming more of an issue as children have greater access to content on smartphones and tablets. Research says that children only watch and interact with high quality screen content. As a parent, determining what kids cartoon are appropriate for your child is very important. Cartoons that inspire creativity and imagination are especially important for kids as young as 2 years. Kids cartoon videos that encourage children to be more active are useful for all age ranges. Like movement videos, kids videos that focus on teaching topics are useful for all age ranges.

Choose apps to watch cartoons that focus on topics you’d most like your child to learn. Look for cartoons with clear, positive messaging about empathy, acceptance, racial tolerance, respect, integrity, as well as understanding and learning from consequences.

Stop wasting hours looking for good cartoon streaming apps for kids. Here is the list of best cartoon streaming apps for fun and safe entertainment.

Hopster: Learn & Watch Kids TV

Hopster is one of the popular cartoon streaming apps that provides a safe place for young children to access educational and entertaining media. Hopster is a kids’ TV app, with learning games for kids, as well as great pre-school, pre school, or preschool books and fun music.

Hopster have handpicked a great range of the best preschool kids TV, with hundreds of your child’s favourite cartoons from Ben and Holly, Mummy Pig, Sid the Science Kids to Sesame Street.

Hopster provides video, music, books, simple games and creative activities specifically chosen for young children. The cartoons aren't just in-house shows but ones including famous and popular characters. The books are childhood favourites - often with the option of being read aloud by a famous voice and showing the illustrations.

KidsCast - Watch, Play & Learn

Kids Cast is like a one-stop shop for a mix of education and entertainment activities that are completely safe and appropriate for children. Videos, games, books, songs and paper-based activities will give your child a great resource to learn from and use to avoid boredom.

You will get unlimited access to brilliant shows like Milton, Ludwig, Little Monsters and other 100+ hours of original and exclusive kids TV.

The video content is of high quality both in terms of how it is displayed in the app and in its production. Two series of the popular puppets of Sooty and Friends are included as well as other entertaining shows. Some of these shows are instructional and creative, such as how to draw. This will pair nicely with the simple art package built into the app. In a novel approach, there are also some broadcast TV shows from times past.

Dear City Manager, Dear CouncilMembers,

I hope someone is asking how we can choose the right police chief for the job, if we haven’t even determined whether to outsource the HB police dept?

Isnt one related to the other?

How deep into the Chief’s selection process are we?

Don’t you think the public deserves an answer as to where the cities decision makers stand on outsourcing the HBPD; and why they have taken their respective positions.

How long was the chief out on medical leave?

It’s not like the city didn’t have time to evaluate the pros and cons of HBPD outsourcing before entering into the chief’s hiring process.

And if the city has made a decision on outsourcing, one way or another, and we have not heard any informed public comment on this; can we really say things are changing for the better?

If citizens have not heard, in OPEN SESSION, the pro’s the cons, the opinions, considerations and decision points of council and city manager and they have not heard our informed public comment, how can that be the good governance and with the transparency the city needs.

Also don’t you think the public deserves an analysis of the dismal crime statistics cited in the recent HB police association flyer?

Were those statistics real or were they just a method to establish a negotiating position.

My idea is that someone in authority respond substantively to these issues.

Thanks Anthony Higgins

Mayor Stacy Armato has vigorously touted the benefits of the parade of special events sponsored by for-profit organizations that now dominate the landscape of our plaza area beaches and downtown area 6-8 months a year.

Why don’t we just cut to the chase and have a vote to extend the plaza area central business district all the way to the High-Tide Line?

Commercial banners, for profit tent stores, and for-profit services are now common place on our beaches and in our public parks.

I know, it draws in lots of tourist dollars and usage fees fund our burgeoning city payrolls.

The formula is grow the business district, grow the city payroll and extract wealth and quality of life from vulnerable neighborhoods to pay for it.

My idea - Keep Hermosa Hermosa!

Greenbelt Infiltration

It seems everyday there is an old property being torn down to make way for a new one. I am all for developing and renovation, however many of our beautiful houses are being demolished for investors to come in and build spec homes. Is there a historic register of houses? How can we protect these houses? And how can we honor them?

Allow responsible dog owners and their registered dogs in Hermosa Beach to use the strand AND beach from sunrise to 10 AM and 5 PM to sunset. Corresponding with this new rule, would be not allowing dogs on the strand from 10 AM to 5 PM to ease foot traffic during peak hours.

This would be similar to Newport Beach's rules which allow residents to enjoy the beauty of beaches. This will also limit non-residents who walk their dogs on the strand, who may be less likely to clean up after their dogs because they do not have the personal connection to the city.

If you want to limit the area of beach use, I would propose the northern border of 4th street to the city limits on the south.

Newport Beach Dog Rules

Dogs are never allowed on the beach or any beachfront sidewalk between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., including the ocean front beaches and bay front beaches.

Before 10:00 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m., dogs are allowed, if they are securely restrained by a substantial leash or chain not exceeding six feet in length and controlled by a person who is competent to restrain the dog.

Please be aware that the person having control of the dog must have in his or her possession, an implement or device capable of removing any feces deposited by the animal

I certainly wouldn't put in a rifle range in an effort to improve Hermosa. I just now heard Hermosa Beach CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS (some of whom I voted for) just voted on and approved a rifle range in downtown Hermosa. Aside from the potential danger factor and very loud noise pollution this will create, it is planned near an elementary school, and is replacing the "friends of the library". TO HBCC Members: Are you guys kidding me?!?! This it an outrage. How could you approve something so controversial without taking the vote to the people? I for one, do not feel that you are representing the wishes of your constituency on this one...and I don't think I'm alone on this either. I have a feeling you will be hearing from many Hermosa residents in the VERY NEAR FUTURE on this topic. Who do you think you are anyway--Congress?!?!
