Hello Lorie - Thank you for your feedback. The Living Streets Manual and Aviation Boulevard Multimodal Corridor Plan are looking at methods to improve safety along the multi-city corridor for vehicles as well as pedestrians and bicyclists. One of the methods being considered to improve the safe and efficient movement of vehicles is a roundabout at the Aviation/Prospect intersection based on their successful implementation in other Southern California coastal communities. These concept recommendations will be presented to the Hermosa Beach City Council in Fall 2018 for their consideration and will offer another opportunity for further input from the community. To find more details about the project or to provide additional written comments, please visit our website at: http://www.hermosabch.org/index.aspx?page=484

Mr. Higgins, thank you for your comment and we would like to reassure you that our City staff has diligently monitored the specified area over the course of more than a year and have not seen a cause for concern. Additionally, the City has not designated a cement truck cleaning station on 27th Street. If you and/or any citizen notice traffic violations or hazards, please call our dispatch center at (310)524-2750. You can also report any City related issues via our GoHermosa! app directly to city departments. The application allows you to upload pictures of the problem and report its location via GPS tracking technology, while receiving real-time updates on the city's progress toward addressing the issue.
